One thing about Gmail is that it has a sort of smart email filter that can detect spam. Most of the time, I don't even see emails like this anymore,
decided to impose their AI experiments on their user base. Fuck Google. Af 20+ years of gmail, I guess I need to start using my Proton address...

True, though I've hoped it's only trained on the emails that people have marked as spam, rather than using all your data. :)

Can you be more specific? I've used Gmail for at least 20 years and have been nothing but satisfied with it's performance. I've experienced nothing that would imply Google's doing anything nefarious.
